SSC holds its 2025 General Assembly at Cementos Molins
On May 30th, SPANISH Shippers’ Council (SSC) hosted a new edition of its Logistics Ágora – General Assembly at Cementos Molins’ facilities in Sant Vicenç dels Horts. A truly inspiring day dedicated to exploring the future of responsible logistics, blending strategic insights with industry immersion and peer exchange.
Over 40 representatives from member companies attended a program structured in three parts:
🏢 Part 1: Strategic insights and logistics innovation (09:00 – 10:45 h)
The day began with a presentation by Joan Carles Mestres, Logistics Manager at Cementos Molins, who introduced the company’s operations, vision and sustainability efforts.
This was followed by two impactful sessions:
- Marta Torrents (Torrents Law & Customs) presented the implications of the upcoming EU CS3D Directive on corporate due diligence and its effect on the logistics chain.
- Guillem Quintana (FACTIC) showcased an AI-based forecasting tool for logistics planning, which captured strong interest among participants.
🏭 Part 2: Guided tour of Cementos Molins’ production plant (11:00 – 13:00 h)
Participants toured the cement factory to observe the industrial process up close and gain valuable insight into the company’s sustainability and efficiency measures.
🍴 Part 3: Networking lunch (13:30 – 15:00 h)
The day concluded with a networking lunch at El Castell restaurant — a great opportunity for reflection and engagement among SSC members.
